Couldn’t be happier with the experience. Had a wonderful grilled fish and a beautiful ocean view. Staff were very friendly and helpful and generous to. Highly recommend

The best local restaurant in the beautiful village of Tsoutsouros. Right above of the sea, u can combine swimming, activities and coffee along with a delicious meal that is preparing the same day from the staff. Everything we tried was excellent, on spot and delicious. Totally recommend and would surely visit again. Pricing is good, Staff is very polite and helpful and offered us desert in the end of our meal.

This is the best place to eat in the area. This is a family run tavern and has fresh local fish caught in the wild on a daily basis. I recommend the grilled fish and the stuffed calamari. I wouldn’t order again the shrimp spaghetti, they need to prepare the dish better.

Absolutely in love with this place!We've been there now for a whole week and had dinner every evening at Sarakina Fish Tavern.The food is super fresh, delicious and tasty. :) The atmosphere is very warm and inviting.It's the best place to go, when you want fresh, inexpensive fish and sea food.We tried the following dishes, which I can all highly recommend to try:Grilled and fried calamariesMussles PoliticaFried SardiniesOrzo with sea foodSpaghetti NapoletanaHome made beef burgersCretan baked fetaAND of couse the Sarakina salad!You can also go in and check which fresh fishes are available.I would also like to highlight the following two deserts, which we absolutely loved: Cretan traditional cheese pies and Cretan asterousia mountain yogurt. Even if you don't choose any desert you get fresh fruits, some sweet piece and raki for desert, which where also very delicious.

Very nice little place with a great variety of foods. The service was perfect and the fish excellent. Haven’t had such good fish in a very long time. I‘d recommend this to anyone that visits Crete.

Located directly on the sea, this characteristic family-run tavern serves tasty dishes, even in low season with a sea view. I tried the baked aubergines with cheese and herbs and the mussels and I can only recommend them! Pleasant atmosphere, place not to be missed!

This is one of the oldest tavernas in Tsoutsouros (South Crete) with a long family tradition and by far the best place in the wider area to enjoy a healthy meal by the sea. Quality food, prepared with the freshest ingredients by the shef/owner. Every seafood dish here is delicious but octopus is a favourite. Prices are reasonable.

Best fish restaurant around. Dry fresh very good. Great prices and quick service. You can feel it’s all local and fresh, stuff super nice and welcoming with all guests. Locals eat here so you also should :) around there will be no better place to eat fish or drink rakki for sure. No problems for tourists even if some are very stupid. Here you come in the evening to have a beer, rakki, and a fish plate. Very recommended. can pay by card or cash or whatever.Here all will be nice with great sea front and views just next to the beach and amazing sunset views.
